The scenery outside Changi Airport terminal 2 is lovely in the dawn, with the first rays of light emerging, giving photographs a soft brightness and colour anybody would love. Birds of free flight, airplanes landing and taking off, runways so close you feel like as if you're sitting atop the plane itself.

Took real long to get this newspaper layout done. I swear I've at least clocked 18 hours working on this on separate days. And it's not like I'm completely done with it yet. So don't let me see anyone taking off the credits, cause I'll seriously flare up and stab some buttocks. My second layout which is completely completely mine, the first's the one I'm currently using at bolongy.blogspot.com. It feels really exceptionally great to have solely your name at the credit, 100% Chew Bolong created, from codes to design to layout and all the rest of the shit. Great feeling. I've put in a lot of hard work into this so I better see some results :) Hint hint: SOTD. Just kidding, I don't care that much about those things anymore. Seeing people use them and enjoy them would make me delighted enough.

A bright pink flower sprouting out from that pot of ugly cacti my grandmother had before I was born. I always told myself I made friends with that pot of ugly cacti since I was young. It never pricked me, I could stroke its pricks like an owner and a dog. We were special. Maybe it just had weak pricks. I grew older and I stopped talking to it, then this day I saw that pink flower, after a heavy downpour in Serangoon, petals with crystal clear droplets of rainwater. Feels... miraculous, like a gift from heaven, like rainbow after storms.

Following are rubbish testing posts. I know right, it's a little sudden since it's already 10 days into the month. But anyway I really need this right now to remind myself about how much of a screw up my holiday's been so far.

1. Sleep early, eat healthy. Ever since my brother ended his A levels he's been having really screw up sleeping habits, and it's influencing me. Staying out and reaching home at 6am, waking up at 1pm, sleeping at 2am. I've been extremely un-good. Stayed over at Changi airport that day sending Kelly/Suwen/Nicole off to OCIP in China. Oh speaking of that I'll be posting up some photos we took that day outside Changi Airport at 7, really good sunlight then. And then there are a lot of late nights in the past 2 weeks, a lot of last buses home and such. Today was a good example, but we had some good laughs over dinner + shaker fries. God I forgot to blog about sending OCIP kids off, that day was fun! Anyway yeah, I'll sleep after blogging.

2. Eliminate distractions, get your ass down to studying. Computer's a good example of a distraction. I completely cannot study at home, cause I'll either be sleeping or using the computer. Another major distraction on my mind is creating a blogskin. I did that for the past 2 nights after training, a blogskin on Skins, didn't turn out as I expected but still not too bad I guess, going to post it up soon after I get time to finalise the colours and such. Why the hell am I still making blogskins?! Especially when I haven't touched them for almost a year! But at least that's one distraction down huh? Next biggest distraction is itch to play vball at Sentosa - I'm still waiting for a reply from Eugene/Sandra.

3. Time management. Kinda ties in with the previous one, I need to get a hold of my life. I have now trainings every week Monday to Friday, and it's killing. The only day I could actually study is Saturday in the entire week, cause I can never ever study at home and if I wasn't given one full day, I wouldn't have the motivation to study. So I need to rearrange my time, plan my trainings, plan when to study. Because I'm prolly going to be that busy till next year starts at least, I've plans to hold a set of chemistry notes on bus rides to/from school everyday from now. Read till you sleep, which is actually highly likely. But I've realised I hardly read the notes properly, like 80% of things don't sink in. I thought chemistry could be like physics- you only need to get the big picture to understand everything else. Turns out I'm wrong. Wait, it might not even be true for physics, since I've just managed to scrape off an E with a hell lot of divine intervention.

Yeah I've finished Skins season 2. I think it's a really good series. In my opinion, better than Gossip Girl or Glee, actually. Maybe part of it was attributed to my love for all things UK, but season 2 was really good, great stuff about family, love, friendship built up into the death of a friend (Chris) and graduation from college, where friends part and such. Supposedly it's the end of the show cause season 3 will be a bunch of new people in school. But yeah, great show.

I think it's really nice. Wenxin's told me she felt turned off cause she thinks everyone in the series looks like the average-Joe. HAHA superficial much! But anyway I guess it's just the picture, you know, not exactly glamorous. Glam in black one's below. So does that make you wanna catch Skins any more? Texting text here. But anyway I thought the picture was a bit un-apt, Skins remind me of warm pastel colours, black is so... Heroes. Speaking of Heroes, I'm waiting for Pingyao to pass it to me, so meanwhile think I'll re-watch Skins. Zod I sound obsessed.

Yeah, and baked with Phoenix Cheer today :) It was pretty fun, first time I baked, first time I played Wii, so yeah, could sum that up as an eventful day. I guess. Life's all about experiencing new things - ain't it? And we took family-like photos again! DSLR always churns out good photographs, I'm so proud of it! Or maybe its just us! Baking was eating choc chips direct from the cookie mix, burnt fat cookie pieces, a recipe which was for a baked cheesecake instead of those chilled ones, cheesecake which really just tasted like egg-cake, and strawberries forming P(hoenix) C(heer)! Testing text. After Ian, Wenxin and Kelly left, the 4 of us continued with Wii and fooling around with DSLR slow shutter. I'll let the photos do the talking. On a sidenote: it was rather warm today, didn't like it. OH PLUS I've edited some CSS, so now I have gigantic nice pictures with awesome borders!

I removed the post featuring Xiaxue as a preview, cause it's led to some misunderstandings that that post was done by me. To prevent peopel from thinking I'm a critical obessessed bastard, I've removed that post to maintain my reputation of a very nice boy. Kidding.

Oh, I realised it might be a wrong choice to put my actual tagboard there on live preview, but I did it to preview the skin nicely anyway, but nvm, I guess the tags will subside after a while.

Okay, so anyway I need some good posts with blockquotes and everything, for the preview of skins and codes. So here goes anyway,

BOLD bold, ITALICS italics and finally UNDERLINE underline in a blockquote. I'll try to keep this up to at least a few lines so that the blockquote would be able to be previewed nicely :)

Okay. So I just created a new Snoopy blogskin. After that long break of mine, seriously I almost forgot how to skin. I wanted to do a model collage but I toyed around with the images and got to nothing. But my weak coding knowledge managed to stick with me though.

You could see that my codes don't get fancy. I don't know how to do drop-down lists, and so many different html fancies you could have. And yes, I don't fully understand html, thus I cannot code myself. All my codes are often reused from my previous skins, and this, as you could see, is from the Paul Frank skins. But anyway I thought this kind of headers fitted the blogskin more, thus it.

And honestly, the background image for this skin takes AGES to load. I swear that after 50 seconds of wait, people might close the window and directly point the issue to preview error. Nope, it isn't any error. And even though the Firefox "voice" might tell you that the page load is "Done" at the bottom of your little FF browser, NO IT ISN'T. I counted and yes, it took about 60 seconds for the background image to suddenly pop out. Or if you timed and don't agree, it's at least 60 Bolong seconds. Plus minus the heavy human error.

The reason to the background loading slowly, is because the background image is a good 1000x1600. Yes, I wanted to add in more comic strips, such that the background won't look too repetitive. And it would have a chance of getting the "newspaper" effect I was trying to get at. Oh what? You didn't feel that effect? Then I didn't say anything at all for the past 2 sentences.

But seriously, the comics are meant to be read. Thus I sacrificed the LONG loading time so you could really read them and laugh at it. After the background completes loading. Take a look especially at those vertical comic strips. I purposely rearranged them in such a way such that they would be blocked as little as possible by the text. And of course, they are the better selected comic strips.
